Creating art has always been my passion. To me, art is not just about the colors, the “beauty”, or how much a work is worth. It is about the communication and connections that are formed between people. Art is an amazing form of expression because it can be a catalyst for an evolved way of viewing and communicating ideas about the world for the artist and viewer. When faced with a work of art, viewers are prompted to communicate their emotions, criticisms, and opinions on the world due to the visual stimulus. I want my art to be an integral part of this global conversation.
I have spent the past four years developing a skill set in both Printmaking and Sculpture. These mediums have allowed me to express my creativity through a wide range of materials. I constantly strive to create an experience for the viewer in which they can completely become immersed in the work and find their own relations to the piece. This set of work represents the progression and development of my thesis through a range of skills and the mediums. I believe that the universal language of visual communication transforms daily and my goal is to continue in building the connections between art and the internal conceptual thought process.
